Petrified wood from the backyard creek. This stuff is pretty plentiful but it never fails to excite me. I have a pretty hefty hoard of it now, this is just my latest find. (with my pet resurrection fern!) My geologist friend told me the petrified wood around here is usually 10-30 million years old. So cool.
Now that's old! Makes me feel young again! I have one piece that my son found along the creek bed nearby. Amazing stuff! xx
